Cinco de Mayo recipes, drinks and more

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. It's become a day to celebrate Mexican culture, heritage and traditions. Towns across Mexico and the US celebrate with street festivals, parades and more. If you don't live near a celebration like that, no reason not to have your own! Make maracas with the kids, find a new margarita recipe to try out for the adults, and cook up some delicious Mexican cuisine. Need inspiration for Cinco de Mayo recipes and other festive activities? Well you're in luck, we've created a Pinterest board just for the occasion. Tons of margarita recipes, tasty dishes and fun activities to make your Cinco de Mayo party a hit!

And don't forget to use the blog as some inspiration as well, last years' recipes certainly haven't gone out of style:

Larry shared with us an original - Mexican chicken parm a while back, an oldie but a goodie!

Last year, Cinco de Mayo fell on Derby Day (the day of the Kentucky Derby Horse Race). This year, the race is May 4th, so in case you're celebrating Cinco that day too, check out the special cocktail I concocted just for the day: The Mint Jule-Rita.

What new recipes are you trying out this year?
