Summer manicures

There's nothing quite like getting a few hours to yourself and heading to the nail salon for some primping and polishing. Weather it's the massaging chair and trashy magazine (or good book!) you enjoy while getting a pedicure, or the joy of having the perfect manicure, it certainly can be a treat to get pampered. Over the past year I've found myself getting quite creative with my manicures, and have discovered some colors and designs that are perfect for spring and summer. And don't worry, you don't have to head to the salon to achieve the perfect manicure, a lot of these can be done in the comfort of your own home!

Ombre trend Although you may need 4 or 5 polishes, this trend is easy to achieve at home by starting with your thumb and painting each fingernail a shade lighter than the next.

Beach vacation For summer I LOVE a coral polish (try L'Oreal's Orange You Jealous or Essie's California Coral), and this design would be great for a beach vacation!

Or try a bright neon polish that will for sure stand out against the sand. This set from Sephora is perfect. Neon Polish

Support your team Take me out to the ballgame...but not without the perfect nails to support my team! (I've been guilty of rocking the Phillies themed nails at least once a season!) Check out some great baseball themed manicure ideas.
