Miraculously, I've seen many of the films nominated for the Oscars this year, so I feel better prepared to prognosticate than in previous years.

But of course, February 22 is the biggest night of all. And hosting is the...wait for it...le-gen-dary Neil Patrick Harris. I hear the team from Frozen is writing an original song for him to boot! I can't wait. And of course, it wouldn't be very House Party-like without some chances to host a party on this night.

If you're lucky enough to be hosting the Marriott RewardsR OscarsR Viewing Party, we can't wait to see all your photos posed in front of the gold drape and using the fun photo props you received in your Party Pack. Be sure to share them all with us! With this House Party, we're also remembering how key the roles setting and travel play in the silver screen. Which movie makes you want to travel? And to where?

And for you hungry hosts, the KING'S HAWAIIAN Starring Roll Awards Show Party is sure to keep you and your guests fed all night long with some yummy recipes. Don't forget to fill out your ballots to see who can predict the winners and strike a pose with the awesome props you got with your Party Pack, too!

Even if you aren't hosting one of these events, you can still have a party or festive get together with your friends. Just head over to Oscar.com where you can complete the ballot and challenge your friends virtually. Or, if you want to print it out, try this version for party day.

So, what are some of my predictions?

Birdman_movie_poster

Best Picture:

Birdman - I think it should go to Theory of Everything but since Birdman won the Golden Globe, it's a likely winner here as well.

66eme Festival de Venise (Mostra)

Best Actress:

Julianne Moore for Still Alice. Although I think Reese Witherspoon should get it for Wild.

Eddie_Redmayne_at_TIFF_2014

Best Actor:

Eddie Redmayne. He should get it unless Michael Keaton gets the sympathy-he's-older-and-he-hasn't-gotten-one vote.

Richard Linklater after the press conference for

Best Director:

Angelina Jolie. Oh wait, not nominated. Travesty. Ok, I think Richard Linklater should and will win for Boyhood which is a cinematic achievement and unique concept at its finest.

Those are just a few of mine, but what are some of your predictions?
