Tricks to make sure you see House Party's social media updates!

Life is busy and gets cluttered. Our online lives are no different. So, it's hard to weed-out what's really important. We get it. (Oh, trust us...how we get it!)

When it comes to important updates on House Party and Chatterbox programs - like applications launching and selections taking place - it's not easy to always see those updates in your social feeds. At this point, you've likely got tons of social media updates to scroll through from other friends, companies and services that you follow on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. And while we realize that some updates from us (read: gratuitous cat photos) aren't always as important as your niece's first steps or an update from your best friend, we've gotten feedback that some of our posts are understandably really important to you and you want to see them. We totally get that!

For example, with a House Party that's really important to you and for which you took the time to apply, of course you want to know as soon as selection takes place. Minutes can matter when hundreds or thousands of fellow applicants are all working to setup their House Party experience as well.

So, we've got some tips to make sure that you're doing everything you can to see these posts and put yourself in the best position possible!

Facebook

Step #1:

Head to the House Party Page on Facebook, be sure you've "Liked" our Page and then click the little drop-down menu arrow.

Step #4:

Then select the "Notifications" option on the left side of the pop-up window. Select "All Posts" to ensure that you get a little notification when we post and you'll never miss an important House Party or Chatterbox post on Facebook. Easy, right?

Step #4:

Once you've clicked on the "Notifications tab" option, the two options below will appear ("Mentions only" and "Only people you follow"). Be sure you've toggled both of those selections on.

Step #5:

Then, simply head over to our House Party Twitter profile and click on the gear symbol (similarly to how we have with a client of ours - Hasbro).

Step #6:

When the pop-up menu appears over our House Party Twitter profile, just click on the "Turn on notifications" button and you're all set! It may seem complicated with six steps, but it's really a piece o' cake!

Instagram

We don't post a lot of House Party or Chatterbox application or selections on Instagram since it's not ideal to click into in order to, for example, complete an application or setup a House Party. However, we do have a bunch of great Party Pack and member-created content that we're frequently sharing that you're sure to love, so we wanted to include Instagram notifications here for you as well!

Step #1:

Head to the House Party Instagram profile (preferably on your mobile device) and simply click on the "..." in the upper-right hand corner on our profile.

social media updates

Step #2:

Once the pop-up menu appears (from the bottom of the screen), click on the "Turn on Post Notifications" option.

social media updates

Step #3:

That's it! You're all done. Instagram will simply indicate that your post notifications for House Party are now on and you're good-to-go.

So, there you have it. With a few clicks and selections on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram you can make sure that you're seeing the important House Party social media updates that might otherwise get bogged-down or hidden among all the clutter in your social media feed and lives. It takes just a couple minutes to do, but could mean the difference between getting a House Party host or Chatterbox spot and not getting one.

Try it out and see how much it helps! Post and party on, peeps!
