Travel tips from a recent honeymooner

My husband and I, honeymooners, are hot off the plane from a wonderful time in Riviera Maya, Mexico with my wonderful new husband, Chris. We stayed at The Royal Resort in Playa del Carmen and it was beautiful! Right on the beach and close to the city, we were able to enjoy the comfort of an all-inclusive resort but step away to the bustling streets of the city’s 5th avenue easily and effortlessly. The staff was wonderful, always aiming to please, and the extra amenities like 24-hour room service and a 24-hour game room made for an exceptional stay. We would definitely recommend this resort to any adults looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

5 Reasons to fall in love with the Dominican Republic

After planning our Dominican Republic escape, the trip gave us most of we expected and more. Here are five highlights…

MelodyMelody is a Program Manager at House Party. She lives close to NYC and is usually out and about exploring the city. In her free time, she plays on a fun field hockey league and also likes to craft happy things like jewelry and personalized cards for friends and family. People have given her a slew of nicknames over the years, mostly “Mel,” but some other silly ones include Melbatoast, Melbee, and Hells Mel. Melody’s party tip: It’s the little details that make everything more special!

Beach bound? Beach activities to keep you sane (and safe) this summer.

I love summer! To me there’s nothing better than spending a day at the beach. The beach activities, the sun, the sand, the surf, the bugs, the burns, the “Mom, I’m hungry,” and “I don’t want to wear my hat!” It’s so peaceful. Sigh.

Pack your bags: What to do in Montreal

Looking for what to do in Montreal? Danielle has some great tips from a recent trip.

My friend Amy, a former House Party colleague, and I went to Montreal for 4 days and it was a delight. Montréal is a one-hour flight from NYC so getting there was a piece of cake. The city is a nice mix of old and new, with modern structures flanked by old world charm. It reminded us of so many other cities, from Paris and New York, to Boston and Chicago. It’s like Europe meets the US.

Pack your bags: A Honduran Adventure

It’s not easy partying all the time; sometimes you need a break. I had this realization about two months ago and decided it was time for a getaway. In the past few years I’ve decided to explore some big cities in the US. Among a few others, I’ve visited Las Vegas, Hollywood, Denver, Boulder, Miami and Chicago. It’s been awhile since I vacationed outside of the country and I wanted to do something a little different, off the beaten path, and a little adventurous.
