2013 Summer Movie Preview
Sizzling sidewalks. Dripping ice cream cones. Stifling subway cars. Yep, we’re heading into summer. And that means it’s time to get excited for summer movies! Typically, the summer movie season kicks off Memorial Day weekend, but this year some movies are getting a head start out of the gate. Here in NYC if you subscribe to Time Warner Cable, their NY1 local news station always does a quick “This day in NY history” segment. It’s something I used to look forward to when I had Time Warner as I’m fascinated by historic events. The House Party Blog Book Club – Vote for book #2
We recently concluded the reading of our first book for the House Party Blog Book club, Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn. And based on the feedback it was quite controversial. But that’s what makes a good book and a good book club, vibrant discussion. You want to keep talking about it and perhaps arguing your points well after you’re done reading. It gets the blood pumping and proves how much is invested in these pages. So for the second book, I’m proposing the following titles. Stand up comedy tips for beginners
I am a big fan of stand up comedy. It’s an art form I’ve appreciated for years and something I’ve always wanted to take a stab at, but had no idea where to start.
